General Information

This moth has a golden brown/purple forewing with a narrow silver or pale-gold fascia.

 

The larvae form a long contorted gallery mine. The frass in the later part of the mine can be neatly scattered or remain in a narrow central line.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.

Wingspan: 4-5mm.
Foodplant(s): Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
