General Information

This moth has a diagnostic clear white head and neck-tufts.

 

The larvae mines from the grass tip downwards, producing a whitish blotch with characteristic narrow streaks of frass.

Foodplant(s): Cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata), Yorkshire-fog (Holcus lanatus), Creeping Soft-grass (Holcus mollis), Tufted Hair-grass (Deschampsia cespitosa)
