This is one of three UK species of Phycitodes which can only reliably be distinguished by genital dissection.

Wingspan: 18-22 mm.
Foodplant(s): Yarrow (Achillia millefolium), ragworts (Senecio spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and August
