General Information

This moth has a distinctive brown, white and metallic blue colouration and pattern of the forewing.

 

The larvae feed on the bark and fruit of ornamental cherry trees.


Wingspan: 15-19 mm.
Foodplant(s): cherries (Prunus spp.)
Flying: One generation, May-August

Habitat

Parks, gardens, old orchards and mature ornamental cherry trees along suburban roads.
