General Information
Variable species with dark head and incomplete fascia. Female seldom seen.

Larvae create a long slender downward gallery mine from the leaf tip, up to 60cm long.

Wingspan: 9-13mm.
Foodplant(s): sedges (Carex spp.), Greater Pond-sedge (Carex riparia), Lesser Pond-sedge (Carex acutiformis)
Flying: One generation, June-September
