General Information

This is a bronzy metallic moth with pale metallic markings.

 

The larvae produce a distinctive mine combination. A short gallery leads to large blotch. The larvae then cut an oval case 5-7mm in length.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Flies during the day

Wingspan: 8-9mm.
Foodplant(s): Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea)
