General Information

This species is very similar to D. alpinana and can only reliably be identified by genital dissection.

 

Both this species and D. alpinana are attracted to wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) and can often be seen flying around this plant.

Flies during the day

Wingspan: c. 14 mm.
Foodplant(s): Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare)
Flying: One generation, June-August
