General Information

Commons, heaths, hillsides and moorland and usually occurring in great abundance wherever gorse is found.. Males fly in sunshine.


Wingspan: 12-16 mm.
Foodplant(s): Gorse (Ulex europaeus), Broom (Cytisus scoparius)
Flying: Two generations, May-July and July-September
National status: Common
