This species seems to prefer the stunted plants of butterbur growing in the drier spots near to water.

Wingspan: 16-22 mm.
Foodplant(s): Butterbur (Petasites hybridus)
Flying: One generation, June-July
National status: Nationally Scarce B

Habitat

Damp meadows, copses and banks of streams.
