General Information

This is the smallest species of the genus. It is characterised by its conspicuous black postmedian spot and the pink tinge to the forewing.


Wingspan: c. 15mm.
Foodplant(s): Bog-myrtle (Myrica gale), willows (Salix spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and August
National status: Local

Habitat

Damp heaths.
