This moth has an unusually narrow wingshape for a Tortrix. It is one of the earliest of the Tortricids to emerge.


Wingspan: 19-23 mm.
Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.), Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus)
Flying: One generation, February-April
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common
