General Information

This species can be recognised by the black 'shoulder-knot' - a streak at the base of the forewing.

 

Pupates on or in the ground.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 16-19mm.
Foodplant(s): Cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata), Common Couch (Elytrigia repens), grasses, cereal crops
Flying: One generation, May-July
